Hoshina Utau of Shugo Chara Cosplay

I know I've posted something like this before, but I just have so many rants about this cosplay. First of all, maybe I'm regretting the fact that I even cosplayed her even though I really like her character. It's just because our personalities don't match and I think I'm not suitable to cosplay her. Second, is that my circle lenses are fail!! They are pink, but they're supposed to be violet. (I remember saying this in my past topic). I'm really careful when it comes to details that's why it made me dissapointed that I don't even have the correct lenses. And lastly, even though our personalities don't match, I know that I can just act like her but I just can't get the right poses and I end up smiling like an idiot in most of the pictures.

Hahaha I don't even know what I'm doing here. All the shots were wonderfully taken by the photographers, and I end up ruining it. -_- It's not like I did this on purpose, I really don't know what to do at that time cos I wasn't mentally prepared. D:

Hmm. Maybe this shot is a little bit okay cos my face isn't really showing. Haha

It's not that I hated cosplaying Utau, I was really happy being able to portray her. The thing I'm not happy about, is that I didn't portray her character accurately. Maybe I'll recos her soon. :D

Anyway, I'm really sorry for ranting this much just because I have so many dissapointments in cosplaying Utau. Forgive me TT^TT I just want to give her justice. But I certainly promise to recos her soon and I'll make sure that it'll be much better.

Anime theme songs

Hahaha just saw this funny pic on Facebook. This is just SO true. :D

Whenever I watch a new anime, I always find their opening theme songs catchy and I just can't help memorizing the lyrics. It is true that sometimes I search for the lyrics on the internet, but most of the time I end up memorizing it because I don't fast-forward the opening theme song instead I sing together with it.

One of the opening theme song that I immediately memorized right after watching and listening it is "Catch you, catch me" of Cardcaptor Sakura. The music is so catchy and the lyrics were easy to memorize even though I don't understand most of it. Haha. :D But my favorite was "Sakura Kiss" of Ouran High School Host Club since it is the opening theme song of my favorite anime. XD

I don't really care if I can't understand the lyrics as long as I can sing it. Maybe one day I'd enroll in Nihongo Lessons just for the sake of understanding the lyrics (and maybe for the sake of translating raw updated manga chapters myself haha).

One Piece

To think that even though I've known One Piece since forever, but I'm only starting to read the manga now?! Now that it has more than 700 chapters?! Ugh. My life is overrr. I want to be updated so I won't be left behind. :(

I've watched some episodes of One Piece since I was a child and I liked it, but I was a super shoujo fan back then that's why I preferred to read manga and watch anime that falls under the shoujo category. Only now that I began being interested in reading shounen and since One Piece is on top of my list when it comes to shounen, I decided to read it first.

I downloaded the first 200 chapters and I hope to finish it within a week. I really enjoyed it cos the story is really cool and it makes you laugh like an idiot. Hahaha. I'm regretting the fact that I never gave the chance to read it back when it has fewer chapters. D: But I won't give up until I'm updated like the others! :D 

And it actually has a new movie, and it's available here in our cinemas! But sad to say, I won't be able to watch it yet cos I won't get the story at all. *gotta be patient* DX

New Kicks

I mean, who doesn't looovveee Dr. Martens?

I know I do.

I've always wanted one, but we all know that the price is friggin' high. I also saw many imitations of it but they are still very expensive. But it so happens that me, with my sister, grandma, auntie and cousin went to SM Manila to watch "It takes a Man and a Woman" starring Sarah Geronimo and John Lloyd Cruz yesterday.

After finishing the movie, we strolled around for a while and saw a 50% sale banner on a shoe store. I saw something that I liked but unfortunately, nothing fits me. Good thing is that, my grandma decided for us to look for more cheap but nice shoes at the department store. While looking around, my sister, Millicent Solon, spotted the shoes that I've alwaaaaays longed for!

I'm one lucky gal to find this gorgeous and I'm definitely buying it! Or let my grandma, buy it.

And luckily, it's soooo cheap. It only cost us 800Php! Which is like, you can only buy Dr. Martens if you add another zero. They also come in two other colors which is black and orange, and they also have the floral patterned one.

I took so many pictures cos I'm really happy to get this rare find. <3

Oh, and if you're curious about the brand, don't ask me cos I don't know either. Haha! But really, no kidding, it doesn't even have a brand mark anywhere the shoe, nor the box. So I suggest, if you also want one and if you're a Filipino, just look for it at any SM Department store. ;)

Although, I'm a little bit hesitant in sharing this to all of you cos I want this all for myself . Bwahahahahaha

Cosplay~

I hardly ever post, since I use my free time to read manga.

So while I'm reading manga, we're gonna talk about Cosplay!

As for me, I started cosplaying last April 10, 2010. But I've only had two cosplays and one original character since I'm not really rich to be spending money on costumes and stuffs.

Although I'm really happy that I was able to cosplay these two amazing characters, I'm still not really satisfied with how I portrayed them. :( On Luka, my CL are pink but they're supposed to be blue. And on most pictures, I look very uncomfortable and smiling like an idiot since my costume is a little bit misfitted. On Utau, my CL are pink but they're supposed to be violet. And on the pictures, I always smiled sweetly instead of giving a face that looks cool (since Utau doesn't smile a lot and she is kind of the antagonist).

So I have not yet given justice to these characters, and I hope to recos them again in a much better way.

Right now, I'm planning to cosplay with my sis (http://millicentsolon.blogspot.com/) on the 3rd Fantasy Quest this coming August. So we've got very little time to save money, but we're definitely not backing up since we've always wanted to cosplay again.
